About Wisteria Farm

Wisteria Farm was opened in 2019 by Carla Hudson and is a British Horse Society (BHS) approved livery yard and equestrian event centre. It has been completely renovated from its previous purpose as a working farm, whilst retaining original Sussex charm, with access to excellent hacking in the Sussex countryside.

The Old Block is an outdoor stable block which was built in the early 1990s and is complimented by the new indoor arena with accompanying indoor American-style barn stabling built by Monarch Stabling to their Imperial specification. The indoor stables are fitted with removable anti-weave grills to the sliding doors, and internal rotating feed troughs. All stables have automatic water drinkers and fixed hay racks.

In addition to the stable accommodation, which is comprised of 8 boxes on Old Block and 12 boxes in the barn, there is also:

  • secure keypad entry to a tack room on each yard, which is alarmed,
  • a large feed room in the barn,
  • a wash-down bay with warm water and solarium in the barn, and;
  • a grooming area with power supply for grooming, clipping and farrier visits.
  • We are also proud of our new client lounge in the gallery of the indoor arena for use of owners/sharers and visitors with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge/freezer and sink. In addition, the whole yard is monitored by CCTV.

    The arena can be hired for private use for clinics and events, dog training classes and other uses. Please contact us for more information and to make a booking.
